Let’s talk about Cloud synchronisation function: is it possible to create such function, will server costs grow?

TL; DR: Yes, costs will grow 
Among Kontalk aims, this is one of the most important ones: hosting a server should not cost so much.
A Kontalk server should save messages for a relatively short time until delivery, so it can delete them as soon as possible.
We could however support XEP-0313 in the Kontalk app for servers that choose to support it, however it would not be a priority task.
We’d rather focus on exporting/importing conversations, possibly to a 3rd party service (encrypted of course).
